At Agape South Sudan Initiative (ASSI), we have already welcomed 300 families into our branch in Abyei, offering them shelter, necessities, and a sense of hope in the midst of trauma. But the need is still immense, and the number of families arriving continues to grow.
These families are calling on us for food, safe water, shelter, medical care, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives far from the violence they escaped. Many arrived with nothing—no belongings, no savings, no certainty about where they would spend the next night.
